Jonathan Approves Second term For 5 Permanent Secretaries




President Goodluck  Jonathan has approved the renewal of the appointments of five Permanent Secretaries in line with the tenure policy of the Federal Government.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOS), Alhaji Isa Bello Sali, who made the announcement Wednesday in Abuja, said that the five Permanent Secretaries were recommended for renewal of their appointments based on the positive assessment of their performances in the last four years.

Sali also noted that the second term is for a maximum period of four years but terminates on the attainment of the mandatory retirement age of 60 years or 35 years of service.

He listed the five Permanent Secretaries with the effective date of  renewal of appointment to include Malam Abdullahi Yola, Ministry of Justice on August 18, 2012; and Mr. Bukar Goni Aji, Ministry of Works on October 15, 2012

Others are Mr. Linus Awute of the Ministry of Mines & Steel with effective date on October 15, 2012; Surveyor  E.I. Ogbile of the State House on October 15, 2012; and Dr.  Ezekiel Oyemomi, Ministry of Agriculture also on October 15, 2012.
