Liberia Clash: Eagles resume training Monday

The Super Eagles camp at the Bolton White Apartment was opened on Sunday afternoon; and as has become the tradition, home based goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim, was the first to hit camp.
The Super Eagles media officer, Ben Alaiya, said on Sunday that almost all the invited home based players had arrived camp.

Team coach, Stephen Keshi, welcomed the players while training is expected to resume on Monday morning at the training pitch of the National Stadium in Abuja.
The home based players are expected to be joined by the invited foreign pros before the team travels to Calabar for the October 13 Nations Cup qualifiers against Liberia. Only one of Nigeria and Liberia will qualify for the 2013 edition of the African Cup of Nations

Agbim, who led the 23 home based stars to camp, has assured that the team is in the right frame of mind for the game against the Lone Star of Liberia, declaring that the strength of the team can only improve when the foreign based players arrive.
“We can handle the pressure, because we have been doing that but both home and foreign based players have a singular goal and that is the ticket for the Nations Cup in South Africa,” he said.
